Our History
Mod Podge® was born in the late 1960s when we saw a need in the crafting market for an all-in-one adhesive and finish. We developed a formula that provided strong adhesion as well as a protective acrylic coating to enhance and seal craft projects. The original Mod Podge® formula was an immediate hit among crafters and decoupage enthusiasts.
Over the next few decades, we continued expanding our adhesive offerings to meet more specialized crafting needs. In the 1990s, we introduced Matte, Gloss, Satin and Outdoor formulas so crafters could choose the perfect finish for every project. In the 2000s, we launched Fabric, Glitter, ** dimensional magic** and more to provide solutions for fabric crafts, mixed media and other popular DIY trends.
